Wedding Ceremony Begins

Ganapati Puja

Performed for good luck to be bestowed upon the married couple and their families. All auspicious ceremonies in the Hindu religion commence with a prayer to Lord Ganesh.

Punyahavachanam

Purification ceremony performed to create positive atmosphere for the wedding.

Rakshabandanam

Sacred cords are tied to Bride and Groom's wrists signifying protection.

Jilakara Bellam

The mixture of cumin (slightly bitter) and jaggery (sweet) represents the union of the couple with commitment to support and love each other through all circumstances, both good and challenging times. The mixed paste is placed on each other's head representing a vow.

Mangalya Dharanam

Sacred thread is tied around bride's neck signifying loving union between them.

Talambralu

It involves the couple showering each other with a mixture of rice, turmeric powder, and flowers. This ritual symbolizes happiness, blessings, abundance, and prosperity for the couple as they embark on their marital journey.

Garland Exchange

The bride and groom exchange floral garlands, symbolizing mutual acceptance, love, commitment and unity between the couple.

Brahma Mudi

Symbolizing the union of two bodies and two minds into one both physically and mentally. The towel of the groom and saree of the bride are tied together.

Ashirvachanam

It is a prayer to Almighty for blessings and protection for the newly married couple.

Mangala Aarati

The ceremony closes with the Mangala Aarati ceremony which translates to auspicious prayer.

Vegetarian Feast

Traditional vegetarian meal will be served for all guests.

Dance Shows

Traditional cultural performances and entertainment.
